**October 22 [Saturday]: Join us for a field trip to Dinosaur National Monument! We will be visiting the Dinosaur Quarry Exhibit Hall and Quarry Visitor Center on Saturday, October 22nd. This is an exciting opportunity to join other OHSU students, Mrs. Mordecai & Ms. Hartman to explore the dinosaur bones, fossils, petroglyphs, pictographs, and exhibits of the national monument. Bring a lunch and be ready to have fun!
- Where: Dinosaur National Monument {located approximately 3.5-4 hours from Salt Lake City, off of Highway 149 (near Vernal, UT). Click HERE for directions}. We are meeting at the visitor center
- Time: 11am - 3:30pm
- There will be no entrance fee for this field trip. If you are interested in carpooling, please use the sign-up sheet to contact other parents/students directly to arrange rides.

**November 9 [Wednesday]: B.K Bostick is conducting a writing workshop on 11/9 at the OHSU Office. He is a published author of the book, Huber Hill and the Dead Man's Treasure. He will be discussing the purpose of writing, how to brainstorm, pre-write, and clearly identify the three main parts of a story: beginning, middle, and end. This is an amazing opportunity for you to learn how to improve your own writing from a professional writer.
